Project Overview
Northampton, MA –
SES was proud to be a part of the Alumnae House at Smith College, a historic building dating back nearly 100 years. Originally conceived as a permanent home for all alumnae of Smith College, the building still stands today to serve that same purpose. The renovation was completed in the spring of 2023 and included updates to every part of the building. In addition to the new Welcome Center, the renovations also included the Art Gallery, Alumnae Library, and the Living Room. Meeting spaces and offices were also modernized for the staff working there. Many of the historic architectural features, such as the slate roof and marble trim, were brought back to new condition. Despite preserving its historic look, the building was designed and renovated with accessibility and sustainability in mind. Our scope of services included electrical systems, plumbing systems, building envelope, and all HVAC systems.
