Project Overview

Stonington, CT – SES was retained to investigate the poor performance and excessive noise of the facility’s condenser water system. SES analyzed the entire condenser water system, control sequence of operations, reviewed load calculations and analyzed acoustical performance. The findings of this study indicate that the sizing of the condenser water system is adequate for the load on the system but that specific component issues have reduced the system’s capacity for heat rejection and the systems control sequence of operations were not adequate for the system. The system was redesigned and equipment was upgraded for ideal operation and performance.
