Project Overview

Middletown, CT – SES was asked by Wesleyan University to provide troubleshooting services, to direct and oversee the investigation of the DAC Print Collection in Middletown, Connecticut. The project consisted of a complete renovation to the existing Olin DAC space. The space is used for storing, developing, and displaying historical artwork and requires strict temperature and humidity conditions. The intent of the investigation was to evaluate and confirm the construction met the design requirements of the space; and that the design matched the current facility requirements. Although the troubleshooting process discovered a variety of issues that required correction, the process delivered functional and efficient building systems and was able to remedy the client’s concerns.
