Project Overview
Stamford, CT – SES served as the RCx Authority in charge of executing the RCx Survey and Investigation at the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering in Stamford, CT. This process, incentivized by Eversource, was undertaken to identify potential measures that could be implemented to reduce energy consumption and costs. The building, constructed in 2007, consists of classrooms, common areas, a kitchen, offices and laboratory spaces dispersed over three floors. The building produces their own cooling energy through a water-cooled chiller chilled water system. Their heating energy is brought to the building through underground piping from the nearby Rippowam Middle School. Through the RCx process, SES identified several Energy Conservation Measures, including reducing minimum outdoor air Intake for Air Handling Units, implementing a duct static pressure reset, and adjusting the AHU occupancy schedule. Altogether, SES identified over $35,000 in potential energy savings.
