Wallingford, CT – Following a fire caused by a lightning strike on the roof of the historic Hill House, Choate Rosemary Hall invested in extensive renovations and upgrades to the entire building. Interior spaces include a faculty lounge, private dining areas, college counseling spaces, student dorms, and faculty residences. SES provided building envelope commissioning services, including the building’s foundation and wall system and vapor and air barriers, as well as new flat and shingle roof and areas of replacement shingle roof. Also commissioned were newly installed Hot, chilled, and medium chilled hydronic loops, dedicated outside air (DOAS) units, other HVAC equipment such as fan coil units, radiant ceilings, window contacts, lighting, and the building automation system.
