Project Overview
Ridgefield, CT – SES provided commissioning services for the renovation of an existing building into the new Danbury Surgery Center. The project involved a partial, single-floor renovation to create a state-of-the-art surgical facility. New systems included rooftop units, variable air volume (VAV) terminal units with hot water reheat coils, ductless heat pumps, and a generator paired with an existing automatic transfer switch. The heating system was upgraded with new hot water distribution pumps, condensate pumps, and a steam-to-hot water heat exchanger. A new Building Automation System (BAS) was implemented to control both the new and existing equipment. Commissioning services covered the HVAC systems, generator and automatic transfer switch, BAS, and duct smoke detection systems, ensuring all equipment was installed and operating as intended to support the facility’s critical healthcare operations.
