District 120 Apartments

Project Overview

Worcester, MA – Located across from Polar Park, the District 120 apartment building provided 83 new affordable housing units to the Worcester community, along with a small commercial space on the lower level. SES provided commissioning services for this project, including apartment spaces, common spaces, and commercial space. This project included a central rooftop energy recovery ventilator (ERV), which provides the required fresh air to the apartments and common spaces throughout the building. Temperature control is accomplished by refrigerant-based heat pumps in both common spaces and apartment spaces. Each apartment is equipped with a dedicated, electric hot water heater for domestic hot water generation. SES’s scope of services also included interior lighting controls and a generator and automatic transfer switch.
