Project Overview

Boston, MA Dudley Crossing is a new, six-floor, mixed use building featuring 25 dwelling units, 2 commercial spaces, and common areas. SES provided commissioning services for this project, which achieved PHIUS CORE Certification and was constructed for LEED Certifiability. Fresh outside air is distributed throughout the building via a rooftop Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) while temperature control is achieved through refrigerant-based fan coil units and an associated wall-mounted thermostat. The dwelling fan coil units have a single, roof-mounted, condensing unit. Common space heat pumps are grouped strategically, allowing common space fan coil units to share condensing units. Electric unit heaters and electric wall heaters are used as supplementary heating for corridors, stairwells, and storage spaces.
