Project Overview
Hartford, CT – SES was retained to investigate multiple instances of hydronic reheat coils freezing and resulting in interior damage at the University of Hartford’s Center for Student Success, a new addition to the campus’ Gengras Student Union. The SES team of engineers reviewed the installation and control sequences of operation for the hydronic and air handling system associated with the area of the building. This included a thorough on-site evaluation and analysis of trend data, system configuration and control system programming during which specific issues were identified and recommendations for remedial action to prevent future occurrences were made to the client. After repairs and modifications were implemented, SES worked with the installing contractors to verify the system changes and fully test the controls upgrades and proper safety function operations.
