Project Overview

Rocky Hill, CT – The Moser School is an 83,500 sq. ft intermediate school built in Rocky Hill, CT for students in grades four and five. The goal was to create a school that would make the transition between elementary and middle school easier.

SES was hired by Town of Rocky Hill to perform an IR scan on their building and roofing system.  By testing envelope components, and according to performance-based standards, many specific installation and component problems that would not be visually detected can be identified and corrected. The test that was conducted were:

Infrared Building and Roof Scan

ASTM C1060 (Standard Practice for Thermographic Inspection of Insulation Installations in Envelope Cavities of Frame Buildings)

ASTM C1153 (Standard Practice for Location of Wet Insulation in Roofing Systems Using Infrared Imaging)
