Old Colony – Beacon Communities

Project Overview

Boston, MA – SES provided LEED® fundamental commissioning services to support the second phase expansion to the Old Colony Housing Project. The Old Colony Housing Project was originally constructed in the 1940s and is one of the Boston Housing Authority’s oldest housing developments. The phase 2A and 2B expansion included construction of new townhouses and mid-rise apartments in six newly constructed buildings, approximately 125,000 new SF of living space. The scope of work included commissioning of all HVAC equipment, central chilled water and hot water heating plants, air handling systems, terminal devices, general exhaust and domestic hot water.
