UMass Amherst Furcolo Hall Investigation

Project Overview

Amherst, MA – SES was asked by the University of Massachusetts (UMass) to execute a field investigation in Furcolo Hall located on the Amherst Campus in Amherst, MA. SES was asked to investigate and determine the source of various odors that have led to numerous complaints and occupant discomfort since a recent renovation that occurred in 2015. At the conclusion of the investigation, SES was able to determine the root cause of the odor and provided recommendations to the client on how to remedy the condition. Additional odors were also identified through this effort. Along with identifying the source of the odors, several other findings and recommendations had been documented as a result of the investigative work.
