Project Overview
Cheshire, CT – This Hartford Healthcare building in Cheshire, CT offers a wide range of services revolving around primary care, dermatology, imaging and more. This building provided another office for one of the largest multispecialty medical practices in Connecticut to continue to grow to better serve the people of Connecticut.
SES was hired by Advanced Performance Glass, Inc. to perform water spray quality testing on two selected areas of installed curtain wall. By testing envelope components early, and according to performance-based standards, many specific installation and component problems that would not be visually detected can be identified and corrected before they become systemic. The two tests that were conducted were:
AAMA 501.2-15: Quality Assurance and Diagnostic Water Leakage Field Check of Installed Storefronts, Curtain Walls and Sloped Glazing Systems
AAMA 503-14: Voluntary Specification for Field Testing of Newly Installed Storefronts, Curtain Walls and Sloped Glazing Systems
